Joseph E. Fox

Joseph E. Fox is the Vice President and Co-Founder of the Helen L. Fox Gospel Music Center.

He has served as a volunteer for several nonprofit organizations. Joseph has also been on the Kalamazoo and Portage City Planning Commissions, where his major responsibilities included hearing matters related to zoning regulations, zoning code of the city, rezonings, development agreements, use permits, and ordinance amendments. He also served on the Kalamazoo Guardian Board, whose purpose was to encourage development of maximum self-reliance and independence of the disabled individual.

Joseph has also served as a mentor for elementary students in the Kalamazoo Public Schools, a volunteer technology consultant at the Portage District Library and Parchment Community Library, and was Board President of the Murphy Darden African American Cowboy Historical Museum, it’s purpose was to increase the awareness of the history of the African American Cowboy and to instill a deeper appreciation for their contributions.

Joseph holds a BS degree from WMU and has worked in the pharmaceutical industry in various sales positions. The most recent position before leaving the industry was as a Hospital Sales Executive. Currently he is working as a consultant in the diversity initiative industry. He is active in his church and enjoys biking, golfing, and photography. Joseph and his wife Sylvia have one daughter, Gabriella.
