Joey is a native of Southwest Michigan, growing up in Three Rivers and Portage. He completed his bachelor’s degree at Western Michigan University in Music Education with a Choral/General Emphasis, in Fall 2020. Since his graduation, he has gained experience teaching all ages and skill levels.

He is currently the Director of Choirs at Mattawan Middle School and the choir director at Portage United Church of Christ.
